LEWISTON — Russell Charles Frechette, 31, of Auburn, passed away Saturday morning at CMMC following injuries resulting from a tragic accident Friday night.

Russell was born on Feb. 5, 1981, the son of Gary Frechette and Brenda (Voisine) Kimball. He grew up in the Lewiston area and attended Lewiston and Oxford Hills schools. He was a construction and carpentry employee for I.R.C. in Lewiston.

Russell will always be remembered for his enjoyments of hunting, fishing and skiing. He was a devoted and avid New England sports fan. He loved hanging out with all of his nieces and nephews, and he loved all children. One of his favorite quotes was “Life’s a garden; dig it!” Most of all, he liked people and loved to make people smile.

Russell is survived by his father, Gary Frechette and his wife, Cathy, of South Paris; his mother, Brenda Kimball and her significant other, Michael Larochelle, of Auburn; his sisters, Esther Henry and her husband, Ray, of Auburn, Joy Willard and her husband, Matthew, of Norway; and his stepsister, Jamie Lewis of Auburn. He also leaves behind three nieces, Madelyn, Abbigail and Jeanae; as well as one nephew, Isaiah.

He will be sadly missed by many friends and family members. Online condolences and remembrances may be sent to the family at www.thefortingroupauburn.com.
