SABATTUS — Nashville recording artist Jeff Caron will return home on Saturday, Oct. 13, for the third annual “Jammin’ with Jeff” concert,” benefiting the Sabattus American Legion Post 135.

Caron describes his music as “a blend of feelings, his love of the carefree island lifestyle and his musical influences, including the likes of Bon Jovi and Jimmy Buffett.” Among the songs he will perform are favorites from his “Twist of Lime” CD.

The show will feature the Jeff Caron Band with a “beachy” attitude. Opening will be Tiki Thom Starkey, an award-winning national act.

In 2007, Caron headlined the “Country for a Cause” benefit at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston.

He started playing guitar at age 11 and later played in garage bands until he heard Garth Brooks on the radio and turned to country music. He left home at age 18 to play in bars in southern Florida and, in 1996, joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He served four years in North Carolina and continued to play in bars in the evening. When his enlistment ended in 2000, he moved to Nashville with his wife and three children to pursue his career in music.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with Starkey playing at 7 p.m. The Jeff Caron Band will hit the stage between 8-8:15 p.m. For tickets, $10, call 375-4058 or visit www.jeffcaron.net.
