LEWISTON — A candidates forum on the topic of education will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center.
The purpose is to give residents a chance to meet local candidates for the state Legislature and hear their views about early childhood, school readiness, support for low-income working families, school success for youth in transition and public education.
The forum is sponsored by the Maine Children’s Alliance, and co-sponsored by Educare Central Maine, Opportunity Alliance, Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care, and the Wheelock College Maine Alumni Group
