LIVERMORE FALLS — The Tri-Town Area Seniors met at Murray Hall on Oct. 15 with 22 members present. President Fernande Doiron opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for all departed members and for the men and women serving in our armed forces all over the world.

It was noted Marguerite Richardson is still on the sick list, and Rita Fuller’s son is also on the sick list. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted as read. The treasurer’s report was also read and accepted as read. There was no correspondence or announcements.

In regards to old business, a reminder was made of the Halloween party on Oct. 29 at noon. Pat Laverdiere has a suggestion list available for sign-ups for the meal. The Thanksgiving potluck meal will be Nov. 12, with a snow date of Nov. 19. The Christmas party was also discussed but no decision was made for the date or the meal. It will be decided at the Nov. 5 meeting.

The 50/50 was won by Pat Laverdiere. A successful Chinese auction was held following the meeting.

Refreshments donated by Jean Luciano, Ellie Mitchell, Blanche Bilodeau, Elvina Miller and Fernande Doiron were enjoyed by all, followed by card games. Next week refreshments will be served by Theresa Bilodeau, Pat Couture and Carmen Moreau.

Anyone 55 or over who lives in the area is invited to meet with the group every Monday at Murray Hall for entertainment, socializing or to make new friends.
