FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church’s annual Harvest Supper coordinator, Brenda Scribner, chef Stan Wheeler and crew, are busy with all the planning and preparation for the event, which will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Old South Church on Main Street.

The benefit buffet-style supper will offer fresh out of the oven roast turkey and baked ham, along with mashed potatoes, stuffing, squash, rolls, cranberry jelly, beverages and homemade pies.

The cost will be $9 for adults and $6 for children under 12 years of age. Family discounts will be available.

Proceeds from the supper benefit the church’s youth summer camp scholarship program. This program provides youths of Old South Church families financial assistance to attend the Maine UCC Conference summer church camp, Pilgrim Lodge, located on Cobbosseecontee Lake in Litchfield, and as a result hundreds of scholarships have been awarded to youths over the years.

For further information about the supper contact the Old South First Congregational Church, UCC office at 778-0424. Visit www.pilgrimlodge.org to find out more about camping and counseling opportunities at Pilgrim Lodge.
