WESTBROOK — Legendary musician Jerry Douglas, whose career has so far resulted in 13 Grammys, will perform Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Westbrook Performing Arts Center.
The world-renowned dobro master’s latest chart-topping album, “Traveler,” includes collaborations with a virtual who’s who from newcomers like Mumford & Sons to the most established of veterans such as Paul Simon, Eric Clapton and Emmy Lou Harris.
Whether he is accompanying Alison Krauss or Elvis Costello or touring with his own band headlining and in support of artists such as Paul Simon, Douglas’ melodic style, timing and accuracy stand out. He has recorded on 2,000-plus albums.
The concert will be at 8 p.m. at the performing arts center at 471 Stroudwater Road. For tickets, $40, visit www.HeptunesConcerts.com.
