PARIS — Selectmen will discuss the Policy and Procedures Committee, changes to the personnel policy and an ordinance to allow the Paris fire chief to perform an annual inspection on apartment buildings at Monday’s meeting.
Chief Brad Frost was recently recognized for his part in documenting local apartments that didn’t meet code requirements, but the town currently has no ordinance allowing for code inspections. Frost said he would take notes on apartments in poor condition when responding to Fire Department calls.
The board is set to consider a change to the Policy and Procedures Committee, which has been on hiatus for the past month after discussions on the board’s role at recent meetings. The committee, which reviews and updates the town’s ordinances and writes new ones at the instruction of the Board of Selectmen, felt it should be clear about its charge before working further.
The Board of Selectmen meets at 7 p.m. Monday at the Paris Town Office.
