NORWAY — Heather Pierson, this year’s New England Songwriting Contest winner, will release her new CD, “The Open Road,” on Sunday, Oct. 28, at a concert at the First Universalist Church.

The album is a collection of 14 instrumental piano pieces composed by Pierson and recorded at Baked Beans Recording Studio in Harrison.

The concert will be at 3 p.m. at the church at 479 Main St. Tickets are $15, with every ticketholder receiving a free copy of “The Open Road.” Tickets will be available at the door or may be purchased at www.heatherpierson.com.
