AUGUSTA — William D. “Bill” Audet, 81, a resident of Gray since 1966, passed away on Oct. 18, at the Togus VA Hospital.
He was born in Winslow, March 26, 1931, son of William and Adeline Audet of Winslow.
Mr. Audet served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1948 to 1952, and was involved in the Korean War, Seventh Regiment, First Marine Division and was in the conflict of the Chosin Reservoir.
He is a lifetime member of the Chosin Few, Disabled American Vets, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion.
He leaves his wife, Terry Audet; two children, a daughter, Linda Lizotte of Durham and a son, Daniel Audet of Wells; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters; and five brothers.
