LONG BEACH, Calif. — Paul T. Varle, 80, of Buena Park, Calif., died Oct. 20, at VA Hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Sidney, Feb. 17, 1932. He worked until age 79 and was a member of the Elks 2046 for 29 years. He donated many hours to the VA Hospital, where he died.

He is survived by five sons; three stepchildren; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla Varle; and stepson, Antonio Turcotte.
