HIRAM — Girl Scouts of Maine will offer a Babysitting 101 training program for girls in grade five and up in the Sacoppee Valley area.

The program will include getting a babysitting business started, playtime ideas for children of all ages, understanding the likes and dislikes of children, troubleshooting and solutions to the most common problems a babysitter faces and Babysitting 101 certification.

The program will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, in the Sacoppee Valley area. The cost of the program is $6. There is an additional $12 membership fee for non-Girl Scouts. Membership assistance is available.
