In the political arena of two party politics, it is refreshing when a quality independent appears as a candidate.

Len Greaney is running for the Maine Senate in District 14. He exemplifies many qualities I see as important for the benefit of this district. His experience as town manager of Rumford demonstrates his leadership abilities. His extensive research on veterans shows his compassion and concern for others.

He is intelligent, energetic, honest and truly does what he says he will do.

Today it seems politicians vote simply along party lines. Greaney, by contrast, is independent in thought and action. He is not afraid to speak his mind and forge ahead if it will be beneficial to his constituents.

He is the clear and evident choice to elect — a person with the defined abilities to be a state senator.

I will vote for Len Greaney on Nov. 6.
