LIVERMORE FALLS — The Tri-Town Area Seniors met at noon Oct. 29 at Murray Hall, with 25 members present. President Fernande Doiron led the meeting, which opened with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and for the men and women serving in the armed forces.

The secretary’s report was read and accepted with one change. Doiron thanked all who brought food for the Halloween luncheon and to the few who came dressed for the occasion. Pat Laverdiere took names after the meeting of those bringing items for the Thanksgiving meal on Monday, Nov. 12, weather permitting. If the meeting is postponed, the meal will be held Monday, Nov. 19.

The Christmas meal was discussed and Laverdiere said she had received a quote for the group to go to Lafleur’s and to hold festivities at the hall with Nancy Couture catering.

There will be more discussion on Monday, Nov. 5, and a decision made at that time. Next week members who are veterans will be honored. Beano and regular games will be played following the ceremony.

The 50/50 was won by Frances Therrien. Door prizes donated by Georgia Hersey and Doiron were won by Nancy Couture, Joyce Richards and Doris Tripp. Louise Parked entertained the group for the remainder of the afternoon.
