ORLANDO, Fla. — Helene L. Poulin, 71, of Orlando, Fla., passed away peacefully on Sept. 25, after a long illness.
She was born May 30, 1941, in Auburn, daughter of the late Delium and Roma (Lessard) Gagne, and graduated from Edward Little High School in
1959 and St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 1962. She was married to Leon J. Poulin from 1962 to 1979, and lived in Brunswick until 1992, when she relocated to Florida.
Helene is survived by her five children, Elizabeth Alvarez and her husband, Marcos, in New Zealand, Gregory Poulin and his wife, Laure, in Indiana, Monique Gerber in Maine, Jeffrey Poulin and spouse, Claire, in France, and Erika Poulin in California; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved sister, Sylvia Plourde.
A devoted mother, Helene lived life to its fullest with her many professions: day care director, restaurant owner, registered nurse at Parkview Hospital and Bowdoin College, artist and teacher, natural healer and real estate broker. She was loved by many and will be missed.
It was her wish that no funeral services be held.
