AUBURN — Nature photography by Kevin P. Lyons is on display in L/A Arts’ Art and Ale window at Gritty McDuff’s Brewpub and Restaurant through Dec. 7.

“My life as a nurse working in the emergency department at Central Maine Medical Center can be hectic most of the time. Photography allows me to place myself far, far away from that environment,” said Lyons, an Edward Little High School graduate and lifelong resident of Lewiston-Auburn.

“I have always had a camera and film ready to go. And as the time and technology continued to advance, I found my way, like so many other people, into the world of digital photography,” he said.

Lyons described many of the images in his “From My Lens To You, I Hope You Enjoy the View” exhibit as “tranquil, frozen in time and most importantly passing their prime.”

“Their beauty and their pain make for great contrast against the sky and my photo paper and canvas,” he said.
