RUMFORD – The Rumford Senior Citizens Center will host its annual Christmas craft fair Saturday at 50 Congress St.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. and last until 2 p.m. Nov. 10. According to volunteer Karen Christie, the craft fair is open to the public. Coffee and muffins will be sold for $1.
Christie said most of the crafts being displayed for the raffle were handmade by volunteers, as well as residents and employees of the Senior Center. Raffle items include “placemats, an afghan, a food basket filled with a variety of different food, sweaters, mittens, hats and homemade quilts.”
There’s also an “apple bird feeder,” she said. “It’s a bird feeder with a skewer on it. After you hang up the bird feeder, you can put an apple on the skewer, and all the birds will come to eat it.”
There will also be a white elephant table with “hand-me-downs, or anything that people don’t want from their homes and want to pass along,” she said.
The craft fair will also host a Chinese auction.
