PORTLAND — Portland Ovations will bring the
to Merrill Auditorium in a choreographed theatrical production showcasing their remarkable mental and physical skills, and stunning movement of kung fu.
The family-friendly performance will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17.
Shaolin kung fu and its culture were established from the system of defense the warriors developed by meditating on the attack and defense movements of animals that lived near their monastery called wushu. Each Shaolin Warrior trains from a very young age to master these feats.
