NORWAY — Barbara E. Roy, 83, of South Paris died Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

She was born in South Paris, April 25, 1929, the daughter of Charles Henry and Pauline Estella Hammond. She graduated from Paris High School and married A. Franklin Roy.

She had been employed as head cook at Buckfield Sr./Jr. High School for 22 years. She enjoyed crocheting, boating, fishing, camp and computer games. She loved visiting with her family and going to NASCAR races. She is survived by her children, Donna Perry and Dick of Levant, Peter Roy and Allison of Sherman, Jackie Tayes and Wayne of South Berwick, Virginia Chamberlain and Ralph of South Paris, Fredrick Roy and Darlene of Turner and Judy Roy and Carlo of Hebron; her grandchildren, Alan Perry, Scott Perry, Jonathan, Joshua and Justin Roy, Paul and Craig White, Forrest and Chris Blair, Joe Chamberlain, Janice Lavoie, Kacie Chamberlain, Ryan Roy, Steven and Nick Racioppi, Ryan and Derick Bruno; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Megan Perry, Lacy and Leann White, Cooper Blair, Alexis and Jacob Racioppi and Fiorella; two sisters, Louise H. Bailey of New London, N.H., and Mildred H. Black of Standish; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband; a sister, Caroline Hammond; and a brother-in-law, Edward Packard.
