SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Daniel J. Miclon, 47, of San Francisco, Calif., passed away peacefully at Pacific Medical Center, Tuesday, Nov. 6, after a valiant fight with cancer.
Daniel was born in Lewiston, March 19,1965, the son of Raymond and Mary (Banks) Miclon of Buckfield. Daniel grew up in Buckfield and graduated from Buckfield High School in 1983. Daniel was an avid basketball player during his high school years.
He moved to San Francisco in 1984, and made it his home. For many years, Daniel worked with people with learning disabilities, he worked in the travel industry and in 2001, he graduated from the California Culinary Academy and became a chef. In 2003, he also became certified as a bakery chef. Daniel’s passions were travel, animals and spending time with his family.
At the time of Daniel’s passing, he was surrounded by his family and loved ones and he waited for his mother to arrive from Maine, and passed away under three hours later.
Daniel is survived by his mother and father, Raymond and Mary Miclon of Buckfield; his long-time companion, Robert Henri, of San Francisco; his brother, James and his wife, Sarah, of Bryant Pond; his sister, Maureen Dillon of Sumner; his sister, Patricia and her husband, Jeffery, of Beverly, Mass.; his brother, Michael and his wife, Kimberly, of Buckfield; his five nieces; five nephews; his beloved dog, Sophie; and his cat, Pierro.
