LIVERMORE FALLS — The Tri-Town Seniors met at Murray Hall on Nov. 12 for a Thanksgiving meal with 30 members and one guest present.

Following the meal a short meeting was held with Fernande Doiron presiding. George Doiron sang “God Bless the USA” to honor the men and women who are serving and those who have served for freedom.

Marguerite Richardson was back after a long absence. The secretary’s report was read and accepted as read. No correspondence this week.

Fern reported the group is all set with the Christmas meal on Dec. 10 at LaFleur’s. Social will be at noon and the meal will be at 12:30. Pat Laverdiere is taking names for those who want to attend; sign up by Dec. 3.

Fern again asked for someone to be secretary, but no one volunteered at this time. It was voted by show of hands that there will be a meeting on Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. Next week a Chinese auction will also be held.

Laure Johnson, from SeniorsPlus was a guest and she spoke briefly of what the organization offers to seniors in the area. She distributed a tote bag with brochures for all present.

The 50/50 was won by Alice DeMoras and door prizes donated by members were won by Gloria Bickford, Pat Laverdiere, Theresa Bilodeau and Doris Tripp.

Following the meeting all present enjoyed cards and games.
