PARIS — The fourth Western Maine Cash Mob will be in town on Dec. 1.
The events gather area residents to shop at a local business all at once. Participants are asked to bring $20. The business is kept secret until the day of the “mob.”
Past cash mobs have supported Books N’ Things in Norway, the Fox School Farmers Market in Paris and Philbrook Place in Bethel. The events each raised between $1,600 and $2,800 for the chosen businesses.
Members of the cash mob will meet at the South Paris Elementary School parking lot at 9:30 am. Saturday, Dec. 1, where they will receive instructions on the chosen business. As with past cash mobs, there will be refreshments and prizes afterward sponsored by Norway Savings Bank.
