AUBURN — On Oct. 13, Rowe Auburn hosted the Fall & Halloween Window Painting Contest at their location at 699 Center St. Each student was provided a 24 by 24-inch square space on a window, along with paint and other supplies with which to paint a picture based on the fall and Halloween theme.

Approximately 50 children from area schools attended the contest which was sponsored by The Exchange Club of Auburn, L/A Arts and Rowe Auburn.

The painting began around 10 a.m. Within minutes, pumpkins, ghosts, goblins, lots of bats, a few haunted houses and a few cemeteries began to appear on the windows. By 11 a.m. the imaginations and visions of future artists could be seen along the south and west windows of the main showroom. While the students and parents enjoyed warm pizzas, assorted Halloween treats and cold beverages, members of L/A Arts performed the judging based on originality, the use of color and the best demonstration of the theme.
