FARMINGTON — Two more suspects in the theft of metal from an abandoned concrete plant in Phillips on Nov. 14 were charged over the weekend, Franklin County Sheriff Lt. Niles Yeaton said Wednesday.

Robert E. Arris, 34, of Chelsea and Angelique Henderson, 34, of West Paris were each issued a summons on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, Yeaton said.

Shawn Michaud, 32, of Augusta, owner of the truck, was arrested Nov. 15 on charges of felony burglary and theft. He was not driving the truck at the time, Deputy Nate Reid said previously.

One more person is being sought in connection to the case. The four were in a pickup that was hauling a trailer overloaded with scrap metal on Route 4 in Farmington.

Franklin County Deputy Matt Brann stopped the truck after noticing a vehicle defect.

He had the vehicle towed to a New Vineyard garage. Deputies investigated and determined the metal came from the abandoned USA Concrete Plant in Phillips.

Radiators were removed from trucks. The sluices that concrete was poured from were taken off trucks and batteries removed, Reid had said. Other miscellaneous metal was taken from the yard, he said.
