FARMINGTON — Police said Friday they have identified three suspects involved in multiple vehicle burglaries at Franklin Memorial Hospital Tuesday night.

The trio were caught on a security camera at about 8 p.m. when several vehicles were broken into. Cash, cigarettes and electronic devices were taken. The total value of the stolen items came to more than $500.

The Farmington Police Department asked the public for assistance in catching the suspects, and the Sun Journal printed a photograph on Page B2 Thursday.

“Your readers produced several tips which helped form the direction of this investigation and has resulted in a significant amount of property being returned,” said Sgt. Edward H. Hastings IV in a news release. “This property will be returned to the victims and the juveniles involved will be referred to juvenile court.”

Police are not releasing the names of the juveniles.

“Our department would like to thank everyone for their support in this investigation,” Hastings said.
