William Trevaskis III

NORTH HAVEN — The wedding of Courtney Harrison Naliboff and William Thomas Trevaskis III was held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 6 outdoors at the home of the couple. Bailey Stump of Escondido, Calif., universal life minister, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jay and Jane Naliboff of Vienna. The bridegroom is the son of William and Sylvia Trevaskis Jr. of San Marcos, Calif.

The grandfather of the bride, Eugene H. Kaplan, read a poem and Dr. Lauren Naliboff and Dana Naliboff, sisters of the bride, read a poem for two voices and Timothy Trevaskis, brother of the bridegroom, read the final poem.

A reception followed at Nebo Lodge in North Haven. The couple is planning a trip to Cornwall, England, in June. They are residing in North Haven.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and a 2002 graduate of Brown University, where she majored in music (theory and composition) and theater. She received a master’s degree in print journalism with a focus in political journalism from Boston University. She is the music, drama and an English teacher at North Haven Community School on North Haven Island. She is the secretary of the Planning Board, owner of Little Urchin Bakery since 2007, gives lessons on various instruments and voice and puts on three or four theatrical productions each year for the school and community. She is also the singer/songwriter of Almanac, her first solo album.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of San Marcos High School in San Marcos, Calif., and a 2004 summa cum laude graduate of Berkelee School of Music, where he majored in composition and music theory. He is currently the programs director at Waterman’s Community Center/North Haven Arts and Enrichment, a nonprofit organization on North Haven Island in Penobscot Bay. He is the chairman of the Board of Selectmen and gives private lessons on guitar and bass  He often composes and performs music for plays, conducts pit orchestras, acts and does sound design.
