LEWISTON — Dr. Joyce Gibson, dean of the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College has announced the following faculty appointment.

, Ph.D., has been hired as an assistant professor in the leadership studies program.

Jenkins teaches courses primarily in leadership and organizational theory. He also brings extensive experience in student advising, research, statistics and politics. He is actively involved in the International Leadership Association, Association of Leadership Educators, and NASPA — Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.

He holds several awards and achievements, including being named a recipient of the 2012 Dedicated Support of Student Veterans Award from the University of South Florida.
