Dempsey Challenge Team, The Fight Club, captained by Barb Deschenes of Norway, held a raffle to raise money for The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing. Top prizes were donated by Dave and Penny Patry of Dave’s Small Engine Repair in Oxford. Thirty-three team members of The Fight Club participated in a 5K or 10K run/walk on Oct. 13 and 10-, 25-, 50-, 70- or 100-mile bike rides on Oct. 14. The Dempsey Center in Lewiston offers free support services to all cancer patients and their caregivers, regardless of where they receive their treatments.
