SugarWood Gallery will host an open house reception for featured artist Karen Campbell from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. She designs her own line of jewelry,  KC’s Jewelry, established in 1987, and teaches an array of mediums at her KC’s Kreativity Center. “Art is a muscle,” Campbell says. “The more you flex it, the better you get. I’m an art enabler. I’m very fortunate to be doing what I love.” She will display works in watercolor, acrylic, wire, clay, encaustic and mixed media throughout December at the gallery at 248 Broadway. Gallery hours: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Her piece, above, is titled “Degrees of Separation.”
