WILTON — The Wilson Grange Passport Dinner will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7. Wilson Grange is across from Shelly’s Hometown Market on Main Street in East Wilton. Cost is $12 per person.
Organizers are taking this next Passport Dinner very seriously; Linda Neuschwanger sent to Germany for recipes and spices to make the dinner as authentic as possible. Diners will travel to Bavaria, Germany, for a traditional holiday meal.
Menu will include sauerbraten, German potato salad, red cabbage slaw, German dumplings and pumpernickel rolls. Dessert will be Black Forest gateau, layers of sumptuous chocolate genoise with a filling of creme fraiche and black cherries steeped in a luscious syrup, finished with chocolate shavings and a dark chocolate dipped cherry.
Vegetarian sauerbraten will be available; email Christine Krauss at [email protected] to reserve a vegetarian dinner.
Wilson Grange will once again be collecting books for the Wilton Free Public Library’s Book Sale; donations of hard or soft cover books are welcome.
