Sesame Street Live’s “Can’t Stop Singing” musical production, featuring Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Murray and other Sesame Street characters, will be presented Dec. 7-9 at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland.

PORTLAND — It’ll be all about toe-tapping, finger-snapping songs when Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Murray and other Sesame Street characters bring the magic of music to life on-stage and out into the audience.

The all-new Sesame Street Live “Can’t Stop Singing” will be presented Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 7-9, at the Cumberland County Civic Center.

When Elmo gets his furry fingers on Abby Cadabby’s magic wand, there’s something in the air — and Sesame Street becomes a nonstop, all-singing, all-dancing musical montage. Grover and Baby Bear sing their highs and lows, Cookie Monster sings fast and slow, Bert and Ernie converse in song and Murray makes mouth music for all to sing along.

The fun will actually begin one hour before the show, courtesy of Play Zone at Sesame Street Live. Children will get to sing and dance with Sesame Street friends, sit in Big Bird’s nest, twirl in Zoe’s dance studio, sit on the steps of 123 Sesame Street and more. Play Zone is free with a Sesame Street Live ticket.

Like television’s Sesame Street, each Sesame Street Live production features timeless lessons for all ages. The musical production also has high-tech stagecraft, a cleverly written script and up-close and personal interactions on the audience floor.

Performances will be at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7; 10:30 a.m. and 2 &  5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9. Tickets are $12, $14, and $18. A limited number of $25 Gold Circle seats and $50 Sunny Seats are also available. Call the Civic Center box office at 775-3458 or Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000; or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
