TORRANCE, Calif. — Rosaire I. St. Pierre, 85, of Torrance, Calif., formerly of Lewiston and Auburn, died Nov. 24, at Carson Senior Assisted Living after a long battle with lung cancer.
He was born in Auburn, Oct. 15, 1927, the son of Theodore and Cora (Tardif) St. Pierre. He received an education in local schools. He served two years in the U.S. Army.
After his discharge, he worked in local mills until 1957. He then moved to Torrance, Calif., where he worked for Douglass Aircraft until his retirement in 1991.
He is survived by three brothers, Raymond and wife, Marlene, of Auburn, Richard and wife, Minh-Thurn of Tennessee, and Theodore and wife, Deanne, of Monmouth; stepsister, Marlene Raye and husband, Paul Fortier, of Livermore; sister-in-law, Mone St. Pierre of North carolina; uncle, Armand Tardif of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Ronald in 2011 and James this year; and sister, Jaqueline in 1946. His remains are being brought back home for burial in Lewiston.
