RANGELEY — The Rangeley Region Guides’ and Sportsmen’s Association will host a two-day Wilderness First-Aid Course on Saturday, Feb. 2, and Sunday, Feb. 3.

The course will be taught by Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities Wilderness Medical School. The course fee is $165 per person.

The 16 hours of instruction will lead to a two-year WFA certification that is designed to meet the needs of guides, trip leaders, camp staff and outdoor enthusiasts working and/or playing in remote locations, Kevin Sinnett, association vice president, said Tuesday in a news report.

Deadline for course registration is Tuesday, Jan. 15. The class will be conducted at the Rangeley Region Guides’ and Sportsmen’s Association Clubhouse on Old Skiway Road in Oquossoc.
