LIVERMORE FALLS — Santa’s Workshop will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Spruce Mountain High School in Livermore Falls. The Spirit of the Season Parade will follow.

Children ages 12 and under can buy gifts for the family for 25 cents. Donations for the workshop may be dropped off at Cumberland Farms, Jackie Knight, an organizer, said Thursday.

“We need a lot of men’s items,” Knight said.

The committee will be setting up at 8 a.m. Saturday if people want to leave items then, she said, but it would be easier if they were dropped ahead of time.

The parade will begin at about 5 p.m. from Memco parking lot in Jay and proceed down Main Street to Livermore Falls.

The lighting of the Spirit of the Season tree at Geneva Hodgkins Memorial Park at Union, Church and Main streets will held before the parade, Knight said.

People may still buy bulbs for $5 to remember or honor a loved one, she said. The money goes toward buying coats for kids in the RSU 73 area in Jay, Livermore and Livermore Falls.

Santa will arrive on a firetruck and meet with children after the parade at the Bank Building.
