JAY – Police are investigating the theft of copper pipe from a home that was badly damaged on the dead-end Kyesland Avenue.

Police began their investigation Nov. 21 when the theft was reported. Fittings and other copper items were boxed up and appeared as though they were going to be taken, but the box was left, Detective Richard Caton IV said Monday. Some copper pipe was removed and taken, leaving a lot of damage to the house, he said.
