LISBON FALLS — Students at Lisbon High School are observing Inclusive Schools Week – Make a Difference Week through Dec. 7. Lisbon is joining the national movement by participating in a variety of activities. Lisbon High School will be calling it “Make a Difference Week.” This is the third year the school has been involved in the program.

The event, sponsored by Project UNIFY, is “celebrating students and staff making a difference at Lisbon High School.” In addition to a special “Make a Difference” announcement each morning, the week’s schedule of activities includes the following:

On Dec. 3, stories about making a difference were available to read during Advocacy, and a Make A Difference Thank You Table was in the front lobby to thank teachers, peers, bus drivers, custodian, secretaries, etc. A Make a Difference video was played at the beginning of the school day in the front lobby and was available for study halls.

Tuesday, Dec. 4, will include a writing contest for all grades. Students will write a paragraph describing someone at Lisbon High School who has made a difference in their life.

Wednesday, Dec. 5, will feature appreciation/thank you sweets for teachers in the faculty room and appreciation/thank you ice cream sundaes for students.

On Thursday, Dec. 6, the four winners of the writing contest will be announced; winners will receive pizza at lunch. A Teachers Make A Difference video will be shown during the faculty meeting.

School Spirit Day will be Friday, Dec. 7. Everyone is asked to wear school colors to celebrate the fact that everyone at Lisbon High School makes a difference.

All activities will take place before school starts, before/after the Pledge in the morning, during Advocacy, during study halls, right after the lunches, at the faculty meeting and after school. No time will be lost from classes.
