Coach: Julie Wescott (second year)
Last year’s record: 7-12, lost in Western C prelim.
Returning players: Seniors — Bailey Madore (5-6 guard), Denise Thomas (5-8 guard/forward), Jordan Kates (5-6 guard/forward), Elyssa Hubert (5-3 guard); Sophomore — Mia Durgin (5-4 guard).
Key losses: Jessica Campbell (forward), Alexa Harmon (guard), Briana Moore (forward), Haley Eck (guard), Sarah Giraldo (guard).
Promising newcomers: Seniors — Chantel Poland (5-6 guard/forward), Sarah Stone (5-9 forward); Juniors — Abigail Roy (5-9 forward), Katelyn Fowler (5-11 forward); Sophomore — Mikayla Yanez (5-2 guard); Freshmen — Breann Sautter (5-5 guard), Adrianna White (5-10 forward).
Outlook: The Greyhounds lost most of their experienced players from last year. The small returning group has some seasoning and the players will have to step into larger roles. Lisbon will be young and building but has a solid group of newcomers to work with.
Coach’s comment: “Five seniors graduated last year, but this year’s group has senior leadership that will help mold the inexperienced players. They’re a great hard working group of kids who are hungry to improve and earn another playoff spot.” — Coach Julie Wescott
