Musical during church service

JAY — Bean’s Corner Baptist Church will present the Christmas musical, “Great Day!,” by Mosie Lister during the 10:30 morning worship service Sunday, Dec. 16.

The musical story celebrating Christ’s birth includes solos and selections by both the adult and children’s choirs, as well as narration.

In addition, the church will hold a Christmas eve service at 6 p.m. Dec. 24.

The church is at the intersection of Routes 156 and 133.

Fish chowder luncheon Dec. 21

FARMINGTON — The Fairbanks Union Church will hold a fish chowder luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21. The luncheon includes chowder, biscuit, pickles, cheese, dessert and coffee/tea beverage. For delivery, within five miles of the church, call the church at 778-4705. The donation for the luncheon is $6.

Christmas Eve at Shorey Chapel

INDUSTRY — On Monday, Dec. 24, a Christmas Eve Service will be held at 6 p.m. at Shorey Chapel, 1109 Industry Road.

The service will include carols, scripture and a Christmas meditation. Donations will go to the Ecumenical Heating Fund.

All are invited to the Sunday, Dec. 23, worship service at 10 a.m.

Knights Templar Christmas observance

WILTON — Pilgrim Commandery 19, Knights Templar, will hold its annual Christmas observance at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at the Harnden Masonic Lodge on the Bryant Road. All Sir Knights and Master Masons are invited to attended this special Christmas service.

Christmas Eve service at St. Luke’s 

WILTON — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will host its annual Christmas Eve service at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24. The Holy Communion includes many Christmas carols and also features a chancel drama by noted local actor Michael Cooper. This is a particularly good worship service for those wanting to experience a Christmas Eve Eucharist but who are not familiar with the church.
