AUBURN — Ruth Grimm, 90, of Mechanic Falls, formerly of Hartford, died Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Hospice House.

She was born in Harrington Park, N.J., July 20, 1922, the daughter of Gottfried and Pauline Bauer Lehmann. She married Harry Grimm, Dec. 20, 1942, and had been a homemaker all of her life.

She served as the ballot clerk in the town of Hartford for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in South Berwick and the Hartford Community Church.

She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, playing the harmonica and yodeling. She also liked to go on road trips and picnics. She enjoyed writing poems and she loved animals.

She is survived by her husband of Mechanic Falls; daughters, Ruth Huber and her husband, William and Frances Gilbert and her husband, Yvon; grandchildren, Christine Ciarletta and her husband, Robert, Gretchen Huber, Daryl Huber and his wife, Courtney and Anna Gilbert-Duveneck and her husband, Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Alison Ciarletta and Robert Ciarletta.
