MECHANIC FALLS — Barbara L. Raymond Rogers, 76, of Mechanic Falls died Sunday, Dec. 16, at her home.

She was born in Auburn, March 21, 1936, the daughter of Carroll Wilson Raymond and Mabel E. Verrill Raymond. She attended Mechanic Falls High School and graduated from South Portland High School. She married Walter S. “Buddy” Rogers, Aug. 1, 1954.

She had been employed over the years as a med tech at Clover Manor and Schooner Estates as well as working at Marcal Paper Co. in Mechanic Falls.

She was a member of the American Legion Post 150 Auxiliary, where she had been past president as well as holding many other positions. She was a former member of the South Portland Moose Lodge. She loved word puzzles, cards, darts and cribbage. She was a member of the Mayflower Society and was an avid Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her children, Diane C. Turcotte and her husband, James, of Lewiston, Dawn L. Brooks and her friend, Andrew Rowe, of Hebron, David S. Rogers of South Paris and Denise A. Barajas and her husband, Arturo, of Auburn; 10 grandchildren, Lee Brooks, Jamie Turcotte, Nicholas Barajas, Amanda Parks, Tasha Brooks, Joshua Barajas, Keith Rogers, Victoria Rogers, Brandon Rowe and Nathaniel Rogers; four great-grandchildren; a brother, David Anderson; and nine sisters, Beverly Percy, Linda Anderson, Bonnie Burris, Silvia Whiting, Joanne Haskell, Sandra Babcock, Wilma Delong, Alma Roseboom and Patricia Boerst.

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; a sister, Layne Hines; and three brothers, Donald Anderson, Larry Raymond and Robert Raymond.
