CARTHAGE — Franklin County Fiddlers, past and present, will come together to perform at the “Home for the Holidays” concert on Saturday, Dec. 22, at Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center.

Steve Muise, who teaches orchestra in the Mt. Blue Regional School District and directs orchestras at the middle and high schools, founded the FCF in 1993. He performs with Boreal Tordu, Frigate and Muisette, and with his father, Paul Muise.

A couple of years ago Phill McIntyre, director at Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center, observed that whenever departing senior students perform, former and current members of the Franklin County Fiddlers fill the front rows.

This sense of kinship inspired the “Home for the Holidays” concert, which brings former members who are home for the holidays together with current members to perform on the same stage.

The evening will start with a pot luck supper at 5 p.m., with the concert to start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 or by donation at the door. For reservations, call 562-4445. Skye Theatre is at 2 Highland Drive off Winter Hill Road and U.S. Route 2.
