LEWISTON — Olive P. Poisson, 89, of Lewiston passed away Friday, Dec. 28, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavillion following a three year battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born in Berlin, N.H., Nov. 1, 1923, a daughter of Arthur and Odelie (Jacques) Perreault. She grew up in the Berlin area and attended Berlin schools.

On Jan. 5, 1946, she married her husband Conrad Poisson. They had a son, Normand, together. During that time, Olive worked as a circuit board manufacturer for Raytheon, RCA & Maine Electronics until her retirement in 1985.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Lewiston as well as a member of St. Ann Sodality and the Association of Marian Helpers. Olive loved spending time with her family, playing video games and Bingo, going to casinos, taking bus trips with friends to various locations, playing cards and baking.

She leaves behind a son, Normand Poisson of Nashua, N.H.; three grandchildren, Tina Burke, Donna Brand and Brian Poisson, of New Hampshire; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley, Tanner and Hayden Brand, Brody, Dylan and Landon Burke and Kendra Poisson; two sisters, Marguerite Girouard and Gabriel Sirois; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Olive was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Conrad; two sisters, Cecile Feron and Theresa Nadeau; and a brother, Gerard Perreault.
