LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens met for a traditional Thanksgiving meal at the Green Ladle on Nov. 5. Three Thanksgiving baskets were donated to the Lewiston General Assistance office on Nov. 19 to be given to needy families.

On Nov. 27, a group of seniors took a four-day trip to Lancaster, Pa., which included a tour of the Amish Country, Mennonite Museum and the Landis Village. They also attended the show “Jonah” at the Sight and Sound Theater.

On Dec. 14, members met at the Ramada Inn for their annual Christmas party and buffet luncheon. Entertainment was provided by Present Company and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Activities and trips planned for 2013 are:

March 11-13: St. Patrick’s Day party at the Beacon Resort in Lincoln, N.H., includes two nights and six meals for $262 double occupancy.

April 1-3: Trip to Foxwoods and Newport, R.I., includes two nights, four meals, tour of Newport and visit to a mansion, Foxwoods and Mohegan casinos for $235 double occupancy.

May 18-26: Trip to Pigeon Forge and Smoky Mountain Show, includes eight nights and 14 meals for $745 double occupancy.

Sept. 27 to Oct. 1: Trip to Ottawa and the Thousand Islands, includes four nights and seven meals for $529 double occupancy.

Oct. 10-23: Trip to San Francisco and Hawaii. Details to come.
