WILTON — Funeral services for Maxine A. Scott were held Thursday at the Wilton Congregational Church, UCC, with the Rev. David Smith officiating. The organist was Sally Smith. Congregational hymns included “Amazing Grace” and “Eternal Father.” The Rev. Margaret Proctor offered personal reflections and recited Proverbs 31:10-31 and Ecclesiastes 3:1-9. New Testament readings included Matthew 5:3-11 and Romans 8:13-39. The Rev. Smith recited a poem titled “I Vow To Thee.” A tribute, written by long-time family friend, Joe Hanslip, was recited by her grandson, Andrew “Andy” Scott and her daughter, Pam Brown offered a personal eulogy. At the conclusion of services, Camp Keyes provided full military honors. At the conclusion of the services, all were invited to a family reception at Calzolaio Pasta Co. in Wilton. Winter entombment is at the funeral home. Spring burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Wilton. Arrangements are in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center.
