She was born Nov. 22, 1926, in Lewiston, a daughter of Dwine and Florence (Edwards) Harradon. Ruth attended Edward Little High School in Auburn, graduating in 1943.

Ruth was employed at New England Telephone for 23 years, before retiring. She was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and an associate auxiliary member of American Legion Post 150 in Mechanic Falls for 16 years. Ruth enjoyed eating out, shopping and dancing.

She is survived by her two daughters, Marcia Tolman of Lewiston and Nelda Simpson and her husband, Robert, of Chubbuck, Idaho; grandson, Alan Simpson and his wife, Melissa, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and granddaughter, Dawn Silk and her husband, Michael and great-grandson, Michael Silk of Blackfoot, Idaho.

Ruth was predeceased by both her parents; and her sister, Inez.
