1915 – 2013

AUBURN — Phoebe Houston, 97, of Lemieux Street, Lewiston, died Saturday, Jan. 19, at Clover Manor.

She was born in Frenchville, on March 20, 1915, a daughter of the late Joseph and Regina (Gagnon) Bouchard. Phoebe worked for Bates Fabric and Steckino’s.

She is survived by two sons, Albert Bouchard of Gilford, N.H. and Lawrence (Pete) Bouchard and his wife, Estelle, of Lewiston; a daughter-in-law, Irene Bouchard, of Georgetown, Mass.; three sisters, Annette Kelsea and husband, Howard, Germaine Albair, and Yvette Deveau, all of Caribou; a brother, Lucien Bouchard, of Caribou; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Albert Bouchard, Archie Willette and Hayden Houston; a son, Robert Bouchard; a brother, Walter Bouchard; and three sisters, Helen Sirois, Corinne Johnson and Jeanne Greenleaf.
