FARMINGTON — A Chesterville man denied charges of robbing the Walmart Pharmacy of oxycodone on Sept. 21, 2012.

Timothy S. Campbell, 33, pleaded not guilty to felony charges of robbery and unlawful possession of oxycodone and a misdemeanor charge of violation condition of release Friday in Franklin County Superior Court.

Campbell and co-defendant Ashley M. Lake, 28, of Farmington, who have two young children together, are accused of robbing the Farmington Walmart of the narcotic.

The two were indicted on the robbery and drug charges Jan. 16.

Campbell’s attorney, Kevin Joyce, asked that the couple be allowed to have contact.

Assistant District Attorney James Andrews said the two should not have contact. He said that in the short time between the robbery and the two being apprehended at a nearby motel, they conspired to include a third party in the robbery.

Justice Michaela Murphy allowed the two to have contact in writing only, including email, as long as there is a record.

Campbell and Lake were arrested in September after Farmington police said Lake handed a pharmacist a note demanding oxycodone and said she had a gun. No gun was displayed, police said.

After receiving some drugs, she left the store and met a man in the parking lot. They fled on foot, police said. A tracking dog led police next door to the Colonial Valley Motel where they were staying.

Although there is no evidence that Lake had a gun or showed one, she approached the pharmacist and indicated she did, Assistant District Andrew Robinson previously said.

Robinson previously said that Campbell helped Lake plan the robbery and acted as a lookout. At the time of the robbery, he was on bail for a felony charge of theft of drugs.
