PATASKALA, N.J. — Norman Romeo Castro, 79, of Newark died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 26, following a brief illness.
He was born Dec. 29, 1933, in Lewiston, the son of the late Placido and Marie Rose Castro. A career member of the U.S. Air Force, he was stationed at more than nine bases around the globe. He served honorably during the Korean conflict and the Vietnam war. He retired in 1988.
He enjoyed trains, photography and computers. He was a Roman Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his loving family, his daughters, Michelle (Mark) See and Rose Castro, both of Pataskala; his grandchildren, Jonathon, Ashley, Jennifer and Karolynn; his great-grandchildren, Joshua and Payton; and brother-in-law, Harold Fogg.
In addition to his parents; he was predeceased by his wife, Lena, in 2009.
