NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank announces the promotion of Ray Charest to vice president, IT network manager and administrator.

He will assume additional responsibilities in management, planning and budgeting for the bank’s IT department.

He began his career in banking in 2001. He joined Norway Savings in September of 2004 as an assistant network administrator and was promoted to assistant vice president, network administrator in 2009. He has played a critical role in the design and reliability of the bank’s network and is responsible for maintaining its health and security.

Charest graduated from Elmira College in New York with a degree in information systems and currently holds the designation of a Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Hacking Forensics Investigator, Certified Virtualization Expert and most recently completed CrestCom’s Bullet Proof Manager training last June. He is also an active member of the Business Continuity Planning Committee and Technology Business Owners Committee.
