DEAR SUN SPOTS: When the Maineiacs were dissolved, there was talk of the U.S. Junior League upgrading its eastern conference and more talk of Lewiston getting a franchise to be on the ice this upcoming season.

ANSWER: Sun Spots spoke to Sports Editor Justin Pelletier, who said the Sun Journal covers every story about the possibility of hockey returning to the Colisee. The most recent story on the topic Sun Spots could find is from Dec. 6 and is about the possibility of four Eastern Junior Hockey League forming a new league, the U.S. Premier Hockey League. DEAR SUN SPOTS: I so appreciate all your efforts for the various questions we throw your way. You do a terrific job.

I am once again asking for help. I had a magazine that was either Woman’s Day or Family Circle that featured crochet and knit patterns for hats. The cover had a large group of women and mannequins modeling different kinds of home knit or crocheted hats. I used it for many years and have misplaced or lent it out.

Does anyone remember this issue? I am quite sure it was published in the 1970s.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: This is for Donna in Peru (Jan. 18) who asked about an album for Eddie Bruce. She said he was a country singer. Could she maybe mean Ed Bruce? If so, he is on “Country Family Circle” on RFD 771 every Friday at 8 p.m. on Time Warner.

If this is the same guy she is looking for and could use a friend’s or the library’s computer, she could go to edbruce.com and find a lot of information on him, but not knowing what the song is she is looking for I couldn’t tell if it was there.

Or she could write to Ernest Tubb Record Shops, P.O. Box 500, Nashville, TN 37202, or call 615-255-7503. This place has everything and is not expensive. I was looking for a CD one time and went to Bull Moose. They didn’t have it, but said they could order it for me. But months later they still didn’t have it.

So I found Ernest Tubb, who sent it right to me within two weeks, and they also sent me a book with all the music they have available.
