RIDGEWOOD, N.Y. — Raymond G. Letourneau Jr., 44, left this life on Jan. 27, to be with his loved ones who have gone before him. After a period of declining health, he passed away peacefully with his mother by his side.

He was born in Lewiston, Jan. 14, 1969, to Susan (Ehmann) Newell and Raymond G. Letourneau. He was raised in Boscawen, N.H., and graduated in 1987 from St. Paul’s School in Concord, N.H. He then graduated from Yale University in 1991, with a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science.

After graduation from college, he was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers and played AHL hockey for the Hershey Bears. He left his hockey career to join the financial world on Wall Street and first worked for J.P. Morgan Associates, then became a founding partner of Williams Trading, LLC. He also worked for Bass Trading, Diamondback Capital Management and Bluefin Trading.

He loved fly-fishing, mountain biking, playing hockey and skiing, especially with his children. He was fortunate enough to travel the world and live life to the fullest.

He leaves behind Robin Sias, his best friend and mother of his dearly loved children, Lane, Blake and Matthew Letourneau, and Robin’s parents, David and Patricia Sias, all of Sun Valley, Id.; his mother, Susan E. Newell and his other father, James P. Newell of Sagamore, Mass.; his father, Raymond G. Letourneau of Kingston, N.H.; his sister, Amy Harter Cahill her husband, Christopher; his nephews, Jace and Ethan Harter of Buzzards Bay, Mass.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Charles and Virginia Ehmann and George and Phoebe Letourneau.
